ALPHA SPID BIG AZIMUTH ROTATOR (BIG RAK).

This AlfaSpid Azimuth Rotator is a heavy duty antenna rotator in the same general class as the M2 Orion 2800, Emoto 1300, Emoto 1800 but with advanced digital features.

Mechanical complexity is reduced to a minimum by utilizing a double worm gear drive system. Position readout is sensed by a magnetic reed switch and has high accuracy pointing - 0.5 degree resolution !!
It;s able to take large antenna on top of rotator without extra support bearing.

This new product is the same rotator mechanically, but the controller has additional programmable soft start and stop functions.
This allows a gradual ramp up in speed when starting and then a gradual slow down when stopping.
This is very useful when large antennas are used on the rotator as it reduces the strain caused by the momentum of the antenna.
Soft start and stop option needs 24volts operation voltage.

Braking is very quite using double worm gear
You can turn your antenna 360 degree + and - 180 degree, able to pass coax thru the centre of rotator and using non chell mount.

You don't need high power voltage.

BIG AZ Rotator

Rotating torque is in the 2800 to over 4095 lb-inch range, with between 12 and 24 volts to the motor. The 24 volt measured torque is 4095 lb-inches (460 Newton meters). This is significantly more than any other rotator in the same price range, and even higher than other rotators costing nearly twice as much (M2 Orion 2800, Emoto 1300, Emoto 1800).

This BIG Azimuth rotator can be mounted at max. 68mm (2,6inch) mast tube (top and bottum). Available is a adaptor for munting on a base plate in a head mast unit.

The ALPHA/SPID BIG AZ Rotator has 0.5 degree positioning accuracy, Coax can pass through center of rotator - prevents cable damage, Low voltage - high torque DC gear head motor.

One engine system (1 rotor). Program SPID.LOG is used to:

* evaluation of azimuth and distances automatically and send data to AZ controller
* communication logger - including cataloque with LOG, PREFIX, LOG.Book
* possibility to upgrading datas possibility to use readymade libraries from CD-ROM ( CALL-Book, HAM CALL)
* build in printing procedures for all kinds of data collection: LOG; PREFIX; LOG Book; QSL (stikers); QSO connetion table.
* Projection of 180 maps (on mouse click). Transmisjon option: manual sending data (angle) to the AZ Controller or automaticly work with other short wave software
