This SPID Azimuth Rotator (RAK) is a medium to heavy duty antenna rotator in the same general class as the HyGain TailTwister or Yaesu G-1000/2800 but with advanced digital features.

Mechanical complexity is reduced to a minimum by utilizing a simple double worm gear drive system. Position readout is sensed by a magnetic reed switch.
The controller has a full complement of features, including digital readout. Controller features may be upgraded in the future with a plug in PROM.

Azimuth rotator incl. controller

Rotating torque is in the 1,400 to over 3,200 lb-inch range, with between 12 and 24 volts to the motor. The 24 volt measured torque is 3,240 lb-inches (366 Newton meters). This is significantly more than any other rotator in the same price range, and even higher than other rotators costing nearly twice as much (Yaesu 2800 or Orion 2800). This Azimuth rotator can be mounted at max. 60mm mast tube. Available is a adaptor for munting on a base plate in a head mast unit.

The SPID AZ Rotator has 1 degree positioning accuracy, Coax can pass through center of rotator - prevents cable damage, Low voltage - high torque DC gear head motor.

SOFTWARE FOR ALPHA-SPID AZIMUTH ROTATOR

One engine system (1 rotor). Program SPID.LOG is used to:

* evaluation of azimuth and distances automatically and send data to AZ controller
* communication logger - including cataloque with LOG, PREFIX, LOG.Book
* possibility to upgrading datas possibility to use readymade libraries from CD-ROM ( CALL-Book, HAM CALL)
* build in printing procedures for all kinds of data collection: LOG; PREFIX; LOG Book; QSL (stikers); QSO connetion table.
* Projection of 180 maps (on mouse click). Transmisjon option: manual sending data (angle) to the AZ Controller or automaticly work with other short wave software

SPID-LOG (freeware)

* PstRotator - Universal Track software, for Azimuth, shareware, YO3DMU.

*Note: All ALPHA-SPID rotators are able to emulate Hy-Gain, Yaesu and Orion control units, is it compatible to almost any software.
Controller features may be easily upgraded in the future with a plug-in PROM.
