Indeed, ARS can also running under MS-DOS.
The DOS software enables use of any DOS software (e.g. SWISSLOG or Packet radio programs) to direct and control the antenna. For SAT applications it is possible to run ARS from inside of all application that support KCT, for example INSTANT TRACK.
The following program are part of the package:
Setup.exe:
Configuration program: it lets you choose the LPT port, customize the azimuth/elevation rotator, etc.
RciPlus.exe:
Main program that installs a TSR subroutine to handle the RCI board via interrupt 0x61h.
RciKct.com:
Compatibility program between the RCIPlus API and the KCT API. When loading this driver after the RCIPlus the RCIPlus works as the KCT driver.
ARS.exe:
Utility program that lets you turn the rotator manually using the RCI board. It's a TSR program with a hot-key activation and a friendly interface.
Arstart.exe:
An uninstall utility.
Demo programs:
Several programs with the source code included. Those sample programs are useful for those who want to integrate the RCI API in their own application. Written in "C" and "Pascal". |
