SPID Rotators
This rotators are a medium to heavy duty antenna rotator in the same general class as the HyGain TailTwister or Yaesu G-1000/2800 but with advanced digital features. It is priced well under these and other competing rotators. Mechanical complexity is reduced to a minimum by utilizing a simple double worm gear drive system.
Position readout is sensed by a magnetic reed switch or Hall sensors in our /HR rotor range and Absolute encoders in the new /ABS rotor range.
All SPID controllers do have standard build in a track interface to track your object (USB)

We received some comments about no connection through USB from Rot2 <> Win PC with PST rotor installed:........
Some users have been running the Spid Rot2Prog controller without any issues for about three and a half years.
However, it now seems that the Rot2Prog controller is no longer establishing a USB connection with PstRotator from 1 to the other day.
Everything still works manually, but that’s not how it’s supposed to be.
Possible solution:
It seemed most practical to compare all the settings with how they were configured on your PC.
It is possible you discovered that a ‘spontaneous’ error had indeed occurred in PSTrotator.
In the ‘Communication’ menu, there are three options at the bottom:
- AZ COM port
- EL / AZ + EL COM port
- GPS / AUX COM port
Of course, you only needed to select a COM port for the second option, which is what was had done during the initial setup.
However, it seenms that ‘spontaneously’ COM ports were also selected for the other two options, likely after a Windows update.
When I set those two options back to ‘no COM,’ everything started working again...
Completely incomprehensible and illogical, because a computer isn’t supposed to make these changes on its own.
But apparently, this PC is starting to develop a mind of its own!
Computers, they never cease to surprise you!
