This result in a fast change of direction in X/Y plane, Tracking near Zenith objects is very good and no Keyhole effect.

With this new MD-03 software you can control a X/Y rotor by using your favorite Azimuth and Elevation tracking software
Connect the MD-0X controller to your PC, install you favorite track program, sent Azimuth and Elevation data to the controller and the rotor will rotate in X/Y plane
It is also possible to drive the controller by sending direct X/Y date to MD-0x controller to rotate the rotor in X/Y plane

* Advantage X/Y rotor: faster positions change, perfect for example LEO Satellite tracking, No Keyhole effect, tracking near zenith objects.
* Disadvantage
: X/Y rotors are more difficult to setup in correct positions as AZ/EL rotators, it needs some knowledge how X/Y rotors rotate.
Note: Setup for a X Y rotor is explained in the supplied RF HAMDESIGN fast setup notes which comes included with your purchase.

Setup SPX-01/XY rotor system

MD-03 and PS-03 (PS-03 is optional)

To control the rotor through the MD-03 controller you need 2* 4-core control cable (1.5mm2)

* SPX-01/XY will handle light systems arry's and maximal 1.2Meter diameter RF HAMDESIGN Mesh Dish.

Note: For smooth X & Y rotation it is recommended to add counterweights to the couner weight brackets.
The counter weight brackets are mounted on each side of the Y rotation part of the X/Y rotor system
(Brackets included and are ready to place your own counter weight, counter weight is NOT included)

Optional available a SPID PS-03 power supply which fits perfect to MD-03.
